As per title, how do you clean that strip of mesh above the keyboard? mine has dust particles lodged in a lot of the holes and they wont come out.

I have tried vacuuming it with a brush head attachment as well as rolling blu-tak over it (was hoping the dust would stick to the blu-tak and dislodge) but these dont work. Any other ideas??

with a hair dryer you can damage your keyboard and other components of your xps, because the air is very hot

How do you consider compressed air to be extreme? It is the most common way to remove dust from small places.

And using a vacuum cleaner is not extreme
Use the compressed air canisters to blow the dust away.

Compressed air can - that's why they invented them.

If compressed air is extreme, that's like saying "hey guys how do you wash your car? I think car washes are a bit extreme" lol

Yep - compressed air is the easiest and safe way to get dust out. They sell it in PC World!

Get a tact gum like the one's you temporilary hang pictures with and gently lift the dust bunnies with it.

Sorry dude for creating such an uproar, I didn't think of small compressed air cans... I interpreted it as compressed air coming from say a 50hp compressor for industrial applications, the ones you find in factories and workshops etc.

I have tried the compressed air route before, but it only works great if you actualy remove the mesh plastic to get rid of all of those dust specs.

To remove the plastic bezel, first remove the hinge covers on either side, and gently pry open the plastic m1330 portion. Then use compressed air to clean.
