Hey all
okay, so this morning my lappy took a fall and killed some pixels on the wonderful LG LP154WE2 screen i've had in my m1530 since 2008. sad times, though honestly i've been looking to upgrade anwyay.
i originally got this unit with a 1920x1200 wuxga Samsung screen, which was super grainy. i had it replaced with the LG screen and took a loss to screen real estate.
i've looked around and found a thread stating that you could upgrade the screen to a LP154WU1 (TL)(B2).

My problem is, i'm not exactly finding good prices on that screen brand new. i don't really want to take the chance on a B stock/used screen either.
so, what i want to know is, what does the LCD landscape look like right now? did Samsung ever fix their panels?
I'm also looking at this panel to see if it might be the one i want, but that store doesn't have info about the panel itself as far as who made it.
can anyone assist?
