I noticed that when I use any of the LED effects (of the ones in front of the speaker grills, the touch pad, the keyboard, and the back panel wings) customized in Dell's quickset, the system becomes occasionally slow and this can be greatly noticed by cracking sound (especially when gaming and listening to music... So, I've never used the LED effects....

Is there a way to solve this using any software available, or is it always like this for all m1730 models? :(

Ahh, I don't think I can do that since I live in Thailand which is very far away... and Thailand's Dell doesn't have this model yet!

I found out that when i messed around with the sound system (by changing the properties of the sigmatel audio), the sound cracks became less noticeable and happen once or twice a minute... Do you think the sound and the LED effects are somehow connected?

My industry-installed applications included the Sound Blaster Audigy too, but I uninstalled it already since it deteriorates the sound on my headphones... Maybe this affects the sigmatel audio, and consequently, the LED effects that result in sound cracks?? :(
