Although it works fine with windows media, the media buttons cannot control my itunes when it's playing music (only when my itunes is minimized).

I can still control the volume of the system just fine, but I just can't control the music with the media buttons provided in the front of the xps m1730...

Does anyone know what I should do, or is it always like this for the m1730? :(

Download this file. Its a global hotkey plugin.

and unzip it on this location:

    C:\Users\your user\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\iTunes\iTunes Plug-ins

    Restart iTunes

I figured this would also work for XPS media keys.

If you use winamp (like me), you can just enable Global Hotkeys in the options

Isn`t it awesome? I just wished the 1730 had touchscreen buttons instead, that would make it even cooler ;) , like in the HP dv new series or the Studio series...

Yeah, I thought I'd send some more love for this little gem.

Back on Itunes until MediaMonkey figures out iPod 3.0 OS

Oh, this is great for my M1530! But is there a way to get them to work in FireFox?

Azn, I recommend uninstalling the .dll and installing ItunesKeys, it will take care of all of what you want.

Thanks, this is genius. No problems at all. I'm using Windows 7 32-bit on an M1530, if that helps anyone.
