    I just picked up an XPS 1710 from a local scraper for $40...

    When it was new it had all the bells/whistles
    t7600
    2gb
    7950gtx
    blutooth
    intel 4965
    etc...


    Like all systems from that era, the 7950 is artifacting.

    The warranty expired in 2009, but dell still gives the option to extend it for $250. :confused:


    I don't believe dell would keep parts for such an old system on hand, would it be worth buying the warranty and having the system replaced? Would they even do that?


    I could always bake the card, or part it out and x4 my $$$ to...
