    Hello all,

I recently upgraded my memory from 2GB 5-5-5-15 to 4GB 4-4-4-12. I basically did this cause i thought my mem was the weakest link in my system (specs in sig)

The weirdest thing was that when i put the memory in, updated the wei score, my memory score didnt change at all.. It's still at 4.8, while windows can see the whole 4GB..

How come the memory score didnt change? And how come my toshiba a215 with 2GB has an 5.9 for memory, while my inspiron 1720 with 4GB has an 4.8...

    Anyone any ideas?

    Thanks in advance,

    bartos

WEI is a piece of crap. Stop looking at your WEI.

I would have to agree. Want benchmarks? Then use a real benchmarking application. WEI is eye candy, not much more... :)

Microsofts true intent behind WEI was to provide you with a simple benchmark that could then be taken and used to decide what software to purchase. For example if you get a 4.7 overall or 5.9 on 3d etc... the software says minimum requirements are 5.9 3d etc...

It's a Microsoft world, we just live in it...
