    Hi,

I tried looking for this, but couldn't seem to find a direct answer. I am going to buy a dell inspiron 1420, and I am debating between the 1.8 and 2.2 GHZ processors. I know there is also a difference in the amount of cache between the two models. Do you think I would notice a big difference between the two? I am mostly going to use the computer for word processing, internet, excel, autocad, wmp, etc... Normally I have the internet, a few instances of word and wmp open all at the same time.

    Thanks, Chris

for those purposes, i would stick with the 1.8Ghz, 2MB L2 cache. the price upgrade doesnt justify it for your needs.

Agreed. For the tasks that you mentioned, you would not feel a difference at all between the two processors.
