Yeah I phoned yesterday and my dell studio 15 still needs a webcam, the black cover and the palm rest...so they need to arrive first...

I ordered mine on the 24th of august...I got a call from them the next day saying that they will deliver in 5-7 days. But then I called yesterday and the person said a dell only called so that they could verify that the car holder is using their card and it's not fraud...arghhhh!!! I was so looking forward to it...anyway he then told me my EDD is 17th september or before.

 

I ordered ten days before you, and quite a few members here ordered between you so I'd say you have a bit of a wait.
Good luck though - who's to say Dell haven't stepped up their game this week!

 

Nope..I intend/or hope to be ordering the Mini I Thursday or Friday...if it is truly released now...when they say it's going to be!!!

Went from production to delivery preparation about 3pm this afternoon. I was hoping it'd be shipped today but it's been in this stage for a few hours now so I'm wondering if it won't be shipped till tomorrow.

My order was sent for delivery by Dell last night, and I've just had a phone call to say it will be delivered on Friday! Woo!

I didn't get an ESD but an EDD (estimated delivery date) which was the 15th. Looks like they've beaten that pretty well!

 

It arrived yesterday, about 30mins after I left.
It's great - well worth the wait everyone!

Finally, the very good news.
It was good that there was someone else there to receive it. I hope it's all as it should be and doesn't disappoint.

Seems to be all in order so far. Dad's had a few problems, office wouldn't start up, Windows Mail froze - a few niggly things like that.
I blame McAfee - he booted twice with no problems before registering that trash and it was all fine until then. Gonna clean install it soon.

i ordered my dell on sept 8. said edd would be sept 25 today. Got an email the other day stating that the my order is delayed till further notice. Wonder how long i have to wait.

 

Ask them for some freebies if your laptop is delayed by more than 3-4 days. Dell made a commitment and should keep its word. If it doesn, it should compensate you in some way.

 

Don't worry. Atleast when they ship it, it won't take 2 weeks like it did for mine. I was kinda of impatiant *don't know if I spelt it right or not, still to early in the morning*, and in the end, it was well worth the wait.
