    Hi,

I have an insprion 8600 with a Pentium M 2ghz processor (1gb ram, etc). I was looking at a few of the 1520 or other vostro laptops. I saw a deal earlier today for 399 for a 1.4ghz C2D dell laptop (1gb ram, etc).

So how much faster would the 1.4ghz C2D laptop be vs a Pentium 2ghz M ?

I realize the C2D bus is 800mhz vs the M running at 400mhz (I think).

Is that the big difference? Will it be a big difference?

The difference between my M1210 (with 2ghz C2D) & the Insprion 8600 (2ghz) feels huge. That could be due to the SATA drive & faster ram though.

    Thanks,
    Rich

The 1.4GHz would probably be about the same amount of power actually...maybe a little more.
