Terrific month-old notebook, no problems at all. Today it started locking up incessently, all over the place.

Called Dell support, he had me "power drain" (flip over, remove battery, plug into wall, hold down power for 10s, reinsert battery).

After that, no problems. Except when I unplugged it and put it back on battery - lockups again.

Remove the battery and running off AC power for a few hours now.

Broken battery? Sound familiar to anyone?

    Thanks guys!

    Rob

It could be shorting something also. Call up dell support again.

Call tech support again. Like nizzy1115 says, something must be shorting out. It could be a motherboard problem.
