    1720 supports VMWare in 64 bit?

    can anyone with a 1720 use this utility http://www.vmware.com/download/ws/drivers_tools.html (see Processor Check for 64-Bit Compatibility) and tell me if it passes? I'd like to be able to use both 64 bit linux and windows at the same time on this notebook.

    Nobody has to use the utility to determine that. VMWare supports 64-bit guest on a 32-bit host if the CPU supports 64-bit. I ran 64-bit linux in vmware and it works. Only thing is you have to enable VT in BIOS, its disabled by default.

    thanks for the info. vmware had a comment which said some notebooks didn't have the bios which could enable vt which is what i should've asked i guess.
