Im sitting at a comfy 42 days. What about the rest of you guys?
-
-
Yeah, I'm at day 50. Kind of getting annoying. Oh, well. Though, this better be super sweet.
-
I ordered basically the same machine as you on 8/20 (i was not aware of the delays) and was quoted a 9/4 ship date. I was just informed it will be 10/4. When I made my 8/20 order, this backlogs were underway. Why did they promise 9/4 shipping when there was NO WAY it was going to happen????
-
I have been waiting 31 days, and my new esd will put me in 60+ days!
-
33 days here, and with my new EST, I'll be sitting at 76 days.
-
My EST ship sets me at 54 days.
-
Seriously...no laptop is worth a 2-3 month wait.
-
Well you figure you've waited this long. You'd feel stupid to wait all those days and then cancel to get nothing. Plus, you cant find a price match for what were getting from Dell.
By no means am I sticking up for this bs waiting. -
Yeah, it's about stubbornness. Sure, it's probably not worth waiting 2 months for, but I've waited this long. Like ThursdayLE said, it would be stupid to have waited this long and then cancel.
-
Be smart. Get the parts that don't delay your ship date. How'd you guys get stuck with delayed dates anyways?
-
they chose the colored lids is why i would guess
-
Unfortunately that's hard to do when they keep picking different reasons for the delays. Many here have been told numerous different reasons, including the screens, processor and the colored lids. A lot of the time you have no idea at the time of purchase that one of your components will end up delaying you for weeks (see the T7300).
As a side note, I like how Dell worded it to me on the chat room, saying my order got delayed because I chose a colored lid. As if it's MY fault
.
-
33 days waiting as of today. I hope my system will be shipped sometime this week.
k -
I'm finally in "TESTING" and out of the dreaded "BUILD" stage as of this morning.
-
46 days and counting. Upward. Lol what a circus.
-
so much for my "back to school" laptop
-
I'm @ Day 48 Over Here... ESD pushed back today til 9/12/2007
-
Day 36 here. Dell tells me thats also the colored lid, after they had told me for the last 2 weeks its the processor. BTW, on august 27th there was according to tell no reason for further delay, since all parts were in stock. Now Order mods recommends to stick with the order.
-
i feel the same way as you do. ive speced out alot of similar notebooks, and for the price i cant do any better than the d630, and none of the other notebooks look as good as the d630 imho.
-
I am now in day 50, and expecting the computer this friday, but sincerly i dont think ill getit friday
-
For a lot of these laptops, the problem is that the delaying parts weren't causing delays when we ordered them. For example, when I ordered my XPS 1330, there was no indication that delays would be caused by the battery, the LED display, a glass shortage, the Intel 7300 processor, the Intel AGN wireless card, the fingerprint reader, the color of the lid, or the camera. And yet, since I ordered on July 2nd, all of those have been tossed at me by CSRs trying to explain why my laptop is still sitting in build.
Anyway, I'm somewhere over the two month mark - 67 days or something. It just entered boxing, so at least I know they haven't forgotten about me.
