hello there.
i'm having problem with my 6400 screen, it does not turn on when I moved my mouse and press the keyboard after configure the computer to turn off the monitor after a period of inactivity.
Is there anything i can do besides calling dell?
Thanks,
Van

press the hibernate button/ on off button and check if it gets on

thanks for your reply.
when i pressed the hibernate button, it shows the hibernating process with the windows xp logo, then as usual, it hibernates.
so i'll always hav to press the power button to turn on my computer from hibernation. -
Sometimes I have a similar problem, though it doesn't happen when I set windows to just turn off the screen when I close the lid. It's an odd problem, but when it does happen, I push Fn + Esc to standby it and the the power button to bring it back out quickly.

close the lid, open the lid, move mouse around. done.
