This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Alright, so I posted last night about my order, but I think this warrants its own thread.

    When I call Dell's order status number and give them the order number for my laptop, it tells me it's boxing, but shipping August 20th.

    When I call the same number and give them my customer number, it lists my order number and tells me it's in preproduction, shipping August 12th.

    So, let's see: further along, shipping later; not even built, shipping in four days.

    I think I give up.

    this is craziness I tell you, just craziness :) At least your lappy has moved around, i'm still in the &*(@)#*-preproduction stage!

    I'm not sure it has moved. When I posted last night, I checked with my customer number, since it was all I had handy. That says the same today, before and after the order number told me it was boxing.
