Basicly looks like the 1200 but with a 15'4 widescreen. Now on sale with pt M and 512 mem. for under 700.

Yeah, it's not a bad little budget machine. We have one en route for review.

Looks like in home and office they call it the B130. All their batteries are now Li ion in 4 and 6 cell versions. Must have finally dumped all their near useless nickels.

I'll be interested to read the review for that. I am also glad that they got rid of those Ni-MH batteries, those are really bad....I think they were only on the Inspiron 1200/2200 though, so at least the spread was contained.
That is a different color style for Dell...black versus the Silver they normally have. -
Well they were always using black for the 1200 and 2200 as long i've been researching. Budget machine but would be nice to see a review. Good price too.

I just don't like being the first in line to buy a new laptop. They have yet to work out all the production kinks. Kinda of like buying a new car the first year it is made.

I want to see more Dell notebooks look like the 1300, I'm sick of the ugly gray with white trim on the 6000, 700M and XPS M140 for example.
-
Well do you think that that would be the same situation for the 710m? Kinks and all? Or because they have already perfected (the best of their abilities) the 700m, and considoring both machines are identical within, that the 710m won't have those same kinks that many are worried about in the first few months of production?

I actually don't mind the silver with white trim (on the 700m alteast). The 1300/2200/1200 look like boring, basic notebooks and nothing special. And they aren't anything special so I guess that is why. I'd like to hear how the 1300 performs though.
Anybody know about the new Ins. 1300
