I recently purchased a used C400, when I got it the battery seemed to not be able to hold a charge. So I ordered another battery, same thing.

Now, I'm wondering if there is a problem with the laptop itself? Do these sometimes suffer from such symtoms?

I bought an aftermarket battery, am I getting what I pay for? or do people have success with those?

I'm trying to see if these symtoms match patterns discovered by others, if not, I will carry on with my troubleshooting.

    Thanks.

It might be that the laptop's battery charger is busted. The way to test that is, exactly, try it on another battery and see if it charges.

Sorry to bear bad news :(

You are referring to something internal? maybe integral with the motherboard?
