I tried to configure a e1505 for around $2100 was the total. I tried to use the code for 750 off and it wouldnt take it at all. I also saw that dell wont offer the 2.00 duo, or the 3 or 4 yr warranties and limit other upgradeable areas when you configure from the Inspiron E1505 Music and Photo.
Seems like thier force feeding you the 2 year warranty and the mcafee in order to upgrade to the max. I have free mcafee services with my isp so I hate paying for something I already have just to upgrade other things. Anyways does any one know why this coupon wont work or has some one used the coupon since it was posted and worked for them. Thanks for any help.

See this thread, and make sure to read my last post at the bottom.

AS for the coupon not working, I’ve seen that happened quite a bit. Try signing off, closing and re-opening your browser. That usually worked for me. Dell’s order site has been pretty buggy lately.

I'm not sure what is going on. I tested the coupon out on the E1505, and could not get it to work. Yet when I configured a E1705, the coupon worked.

No, it expired next week. I honestly don't know why I can't get it to work. One of the problems is that the coupons are nonstackable, so if you configure it from Dell's home site that already has a discount taken off, then you might have problems trying to apply the coupon.

I did everything I could think of to get it to work with the E1505, but I couldn't. If you look in the coupon sticky (post #2), you'll see some applicable code orders (aka e-Value codes), and even when I entered one of those in and configured a laptop, I got an error saying "No such Coupon".

I just checked Dell’s order site again out of curiosity. They’ve reinstated the 2.0 GHz CPU option, as well as the other options that were eliminated last night for some reason. However, even though they’re advertising a free upgrade to 1gb ram, they’re still adding $100 for 1gb ram upgrade.

In short, Dell’s order site is all screwed up right now. Be careful if you’re placing an order, or call them on the phone.

hi, i'm new here, and i don't speak english very well...
so, everything in Dell's site is upside down, the free netgear router doesn't appear anywere ;) except in the banner and the offer details link takes you to the free memory offer... the 50%off on lcd monitors isn't working, you can select a 20' lcd for 420 more!!!, but on the monitor section that lcd costs 367, + i don't see the 50% off anywere.

Finally my time to buy a laptop had come... day after day everything went well on dell's site when i was looking for it... and now this... no t2500 cpu no 2Gb of ram or if you want them you have to get 2yr warranty and a Mcaffe!!

Yep, Dell's order site seems to be all screwed up right now.

I was on at 9:00 this morning, configured an E1705 and entered the R99GSKKQQ23S4$ code for 30% off.

Tried about a half-hour later and reconfigured it WITHOUT the 149.00 Tru-Bright screen and it was $100 MORE.

Turns out the 30% coupon is now ringing up for 20% off (big difference on a $1500 purchase). Closing and re-opening the browser and configuring the system differently didn't seem to matter (although I have had to do this before).

I agree with JCT about calling directly. I was trying to get decent pictures of a Dell from there site last week, and the phone agent was practically begging me to let him create a customer profile and throwing around a lot of talk of 35% manager's discounts.

same thign happened to me last night. i am plannign to buy one of those e1505, and the website was being all messed up, it was being the same today.

i wanted to buy the dell with the 1 year limited warranty, but that one offers only the 1.83 ghz as the best, with only the slow hard drives. also, the coupon codes dont work with them at all, and they should. i talked to the representative, they told me that aswell. not only that, i kept tryign to log in and out and such thinking that would make it better, but it doesnt. its the website, its all glitched. everything i put in my cart, even if i try to delete it, wouldnt go away
the representative told me the same, she was tryign to help me out. she said i had too many things in my cart. i deleted them all, and she could still see them, as could i once i loged out and in once or twice.

i also noticed the 30% off couon now says 20% off. and they still dont work. i think thier website is really messed up right now. i couldnt even out e-value codes in, it was being strange about them. just thought i would share my experiences with you all. im gonna wait till the next promotions (AKA when these current coupons expire) or perhaps in a day or two, to see if the website is functioning correctly.

Actually, I tried again a couple of hours ago and it worked that time.

    Seems pretty hit-or-miss, though.
