Just use the restore DVD you should have received. The recovery partition just reloads all the junk that slows your computer down.

In your box you should have received the following:

A Dell Restore DVD containing the Windows Vista operating system

A Dell Resource CD containing the drivers that let Windows Vista and the hardware inside your computer communicate

And CD's/DVDs's for all of the other software you received when you got your notebook (Antivirus, Microsoft Office/Microsoft Works, Photo/video software if you ordered it)

That's why Dell doesn't give you the ability to burn off the Recovery partition like other PC makers. :)

If you've lost your disks, you can request a set online here: https://support.dell.com/support/topics/global.aspx/support/dellcare/en/backupcd_form

    Ricky :)

Thanks Nicky but when I have this partition in a DVD I can restore my laptop very fast with F8 clicking.
That's why I asked you how to burn a restore DVD from factory.wim.

That only works if the partition is intact.

You will have to insert the partition back onto the hard drive at the block that the BIOS will be looking for it to run the utility. In other words, just use the restore DVD.
