Hi,
I just ordered a hard drive from DELL website, and I got an email " Dell Order Has Been Acknowledged for Dell Purchase ID: ******* ".
the content says "Thank you for your recent order. It has been received and is being reviewed."
I am wondering how long it takes to review the process? I order the item on Sat 12:00AM, and today Sunday I still couldnt find my order from dell website.
Does anyone has experience of this??

Yes, you usually get that after you place an order. Don't worry!
I'm pretty sure it will ship to you tomorrow. Turn around is very fast on accessories at dell.com
What's happening is your order is in review for payment verification, etc. Once that's gets the *go ahead*, your will swiftly move into it being processed

I'm fairly certain theres a good chance it will ship on Monday. The accessories side of Dell, and the Outlet are alot quicker on shipping vs. ordering a lappy, etc.

yea,the werid thing is I talked to online tech about my order. i gave them my purchase ID and other info, but the online tech cannot find what stuff i ordered online. ( hmm, I did get the email tho). So i assume DELL does not update database on weekend.

You got the email which is good. The system should update overnight..and I'm sure in the morning you will have further information.
Did you sign up for e-mail shipment notification?

no, they are still reviewing my order, and when i input my credit card account number, i didnt see that option.

Yes..tomorrow then, when all is updated, and your order is being processed you should be able to do that then. You will be able to see that sign up once you can physically see our order on dell.com

DELL told me I could not buy the hard drive separately.
AND I waste my 25% coupon.
world, if they dont allow me buy the drive, why dell put it on its website, and have a price there. -
Huh? They cancelled something you ordered and it showed availi??
That makes no sense....
When Dell pulls this kind of crap it torks me off.

I think you should let Dell know about this ~ fill out an Unresolved Issues form online, or contact a Resolutions Specialist....

I called dell, and sale rep told me i cannot buy it, and the drive must be purchased with laptop. -
Umm..Yes, as long as it apppears like that on the site..and you can go all the way to checkout for purchase! Wow..Dell has it backwards today...
It even says customer install!

Complete the form, and add the link for the the above..give them all the information, let them know that its misleading to have a product show for sale, and in the end not be available (or so you were told).
Ask them what they are going to do for you for their, obvious error.

The site might not be up to date since it is the weekend. They may be low on stock and reserve it for their CTO machines for now. I think they did you a favor because you can get an SSD much cheaper else where.
