My wife purchased an Inspiron 1525 which had a screen defect so Dell sent a new replacement as a system exchange. She sent back the original system to Dell with the waybill Dell provided but DHL has lost the shipment. She called Dell and was told by a CSR that as long as she has the receipt with the tracking # it's not her problem. My question is if Dell does not receive a system exchange back in the alloted amount of time do they charge your credit card for the system or do they send you a bill for it?

Dell will do an investigation in what transpired. Make sure you don't lose any paperwork and that includes any communications with Dell or DHL with names and dates. I usually take pictures of any packages sent especially numbers for my record. Dell shouldn't charge you until they finish their investigation if at all.
