    I have an Inspiron 6000d with 1.5ghz processor, 1 gig of ddr2 400 mhz ram, 128 mb x300 and 60gb 7200 rpm harddrive.

For everyone wondering what you can expect from gaming with this laptop, Ive run 3 different qualities on two resolutions to give you an idea of what to expect.

    Demo Loop Benchmark

    1900x1200 Native resolution
    Low Quality 30-35 FPS
    Medium Quality 27-32 FPS
    High Quality 25-30 FPS

    1024x768
    Low Quality about 50 FPS
    Medium Quality 42-45 FPS
    High Quality 38-45 FPS

When Playing the first part of the game the frame rate drops significantly

    1900x1200
High Quality 10-20 FPS <----Gorgeous buts runs slow as molasses
Medium Quality 25-35 FPS <---- Still looks great and runs a lot better
Low Quality 30-45 FPS <---- Still looks good and is very playable

    1024x768
High Quality 30-45 FPS <-----Runs Great and Looks Good
Medium Quality 40-75 FPS <----Extremely fast and Looks ok
Low Quality 75-85 FPS <----Looks the worst of all of them but runs like a raped ape.

I hope this helps some of you that were looking for a good laptop or just wondering about how this one performs. So far I love this laptop and while its not an XPS2 or an Alienware, if it will run Farcry like this, its a pretty damn good laptop for what you pay. I personally never play games above 1024x768 so this laptop performs great, IMO.

This laptop performs better than my desktop which is a P4 3.06 ghz, 512mb ram, ati radeon 9600, which i kinda expected.

Thanks for the benchmarks. I'm not getting my i6000d for gaming, but it's sure nice to see that games as graphically intensive as Far Cry are at least playable on this machine.
