    What are peoples opinion on the Vostro 1700?

    its great spec and a great price but is a great laptop?

    the below costs - £633.33 includinv Vat and delivery direcyt from Dell.

    Its great performance for the price. It may be slightly larger and heavier than others, but for the price, you cant go wrong.

    Excellent Laptop, great price. Like most 17's not made to me lugged around though!

    Its thick large design is old and Dell seems to be ditching it and going for a slim and light frame in its new XPS line (which based on photos looks suspiciously similar structurewise to my friend's Vaio....food for thought!).

    Don't worry though. IMO this adds to the durability and overall toughness of the laptop. I never was the most graceful or careful person in the family...probably was the clumsiest! Even though the Vostro's a tad bit heavy, I'll probably using that as an excuse to NOT carry around so much unless I feel I'm going to be using it extensively wherever I'd like to take it. :)

    its only bringing up the 2.2ghz deal which is coming out at 633.33 as well... which is fantastic!!!

    but i only need a 2ghz
