I just recieved my dell 6000 and did a reformat immediately.
Now after reformat, i've installed all the drivers but cannot figure out what lcd screen i have. I know i have the wsxga panel (1680x1050 res) but i do not know what driver i need to install for the colors to be correct.
The screens dell lists are
Dell 1505FP
Dell 1704FPT
Dell 1704FPV
Dell 1905FP
Dell 2001FP
Dell 2005FPW
Dell 2405FPW
Dell E153FP
Dell E173FP
Dell E193FP
Dell M783p
Dell M993s
I don't know which one i should download.

if you're referring to the "display devices" driver sets, i believe those are for external monitors, not your LCD
-
no, i mean the color profile for the lcd. Before i reformatted, the colors looked richer and more accurate, but after reinstalling xp, the colors are a little grey, and i know it is caused by the color profile of the laptop lcd.
So anyone know where to get the color profile of my laptop lcd? -
sorry, i'm a little confused. the list in your original post looks like the list of drivers for dell's external monitors; notice the numbering scheme and how they relate to the size of the monitor. they aren't color profiles, they're drivers.
are you looking for drivers to be installed for your LCD or color profiles to be installed through 'display properties'? -
no, i mean the color profiles in display properties, settings, advanced, color profiles
all dell lcd panels come with a "driver" cd that are actaully color profiles.
Ok, i looked at the list again, and they're all desktop lcd panel color profiles, but does anyone know where to get laptop lcd color profiles? -
