Dose anyone here actually own the X1. Please give me your thoughts as an actual owner. I am also interested in knowing the battery life of the 3 and 6 cell batteries (Real world). Thanks,

I posted my thoughts a while back in the news section, if that helps you. I think generally it's a fine machine, and should get a little better when they release the 1.2 CPU. The fanless design is very nice, along with the rapid charging. The display is disappointing though and the touch pad and mouse buttons are too small.

I see you have P7010 how you would compare the X1 to it. I understand they are in a totally different call, but I spent a lot of time looking at the P7010, and I would be interested in what you think is the better deal. I will look at your post in the news soon thanks for your help.

They're very different machines, but I wouldn't be using the P7 if I thought there was something better for my needs out there. It's really a personal decision. You have to really want t asmall machine to get along with the P7.

I reviewed the Dell X1, look at the reviews tab or news forum to find that. The Dell X1 is fine, but there are better ultraportables in my opinion. I'm using the X41 right now, and without going into detail I'll just say it's better...some of that may be personal preference but overall I think it's more solid, better keyboard, easier to use, more upgradeable as it has a PCMCIA slot. The Fujitsu P7000 as Brian says is also a good option that could be considered better than the Dell X1.
