Iv been using my Dell Latitude X1 for awhile and it works really well for what it is intended for: ultraportable office productivity stuff. I do some programming and even some light picture and video editing no problem. Now Iv recently started to play CS 1.6 on it. The notebook handles it smoothly at first but after like 20 mins performance noticeably decreases. It seems to be a pretty obvious heat problem since this notebook doesnt have a fan. Now I am wondering is there any small notebook cooler that would "fit" alright with a 12' ultraportable.

    Hmm...

Most notebook coolers are made for 15.4" notebooks and up, as they're usually the ones that have heating issues. However, you might try looking at some Vantec notebook coolers, but they'd be pretty massive in comparison with the X1. Reguarding performance: If you haven't already, you might try maxing out the amount of RAM allowed in the X1 by adding your own stick of 1GB (it already has 256MB RAM built-in I believe.

Ill take a look, i went on newegg and all the coolers seem pretty big. ALso the X1 already had 1.2gb of ram.

Also try cleaning the air vents on the sides and bottom. If dirt goes in and blocks the vent the notebook will overheat and slow down.
