Title. Current notebook is still usable, but aging. I'm hoping I can pick up the 8gb, 256gb, non-touch version if/when it gets restocked at some point.

Any idea whether this version's coming back?

    I don't understand why Dell store doesn't have "Non-Touch, 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD" version.
If it's avaliable i plan to buy one.

There are some refurbished ones on Amazon and eBay. But i'm not sure whether it's a good or bad idea to buy refurbished laptop.

Yeah. That's the one area where they dropped the ball. I think we PC notebook buyers have come to accept over time that thin and light notebooks are quite often going to come with compromises like soddered in parts and low performance specs. But allowing 4gb to be the minimum spec and leaving out the 8gb as an option for an extended period of time? Someone over at Dell/Microsoft has to be out of touch!

I have contacted the Dell sales representative on Dell Store website about this issue. But it seems there is no quick-future plan about "Non-Touch, 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD" version.

I asked Dell if there was an option of a non-touch i7, 8Gb, 512Gb ssd configuration. Dell is configuring all the i7s with touch.
