    Cons

    >> Buying a Dell XPS 13 through Microsoft gives you fewer configuration options.
    >> Dell will often have coupons / discount codes that make it a better deal for you.

    Pros

    >> May have item in-stock in retail stores (depending on in-store stock). So you could potentially walk into a retail store, and walk out 10 minutes later with a laptop.
    >> Will have Signature Edition software load, which is essentially a "clean" drive image. Just Windows, patches, and drivers. No bloatware, no Dell-branded apps / management utilities, and no "recovery" partitions. Nice, barebones, and clean.

In Canada at least, the Microsoft Store Dells are significantly cheaper than the ones from Dell.ca

As long as you like the configuration and the price is right, there is nothing to lose. Microsoft has great staff and will take care of you. If you don't like it within the return window, you can just return it and they won't bat an eye.

Yep, the Dell's I've seen, in particularly the newest dell xps 13 is cheaper on the Microsoft Store than Dell.com, here in the US. Additionally, if you have any association with a university/college, you qualify for a 10 percent discount by logging into the edu portal.
