The m1330 no doubt about it, it's the same as the 1420 in terms of power but is smaller, thinner and looks better.

Definitely the M1330 - the 4GB of RAM is the Vostro's big advantage, but isn't useful for most people.

I would second the M1330 however one should also consider the time factor. If you need the notebook soon perhaps you would receive the Vostor earlier. Also RAM and webcam options are better on the Vostro but its unlikely you would need 4g RAM over the 2g and from what I've heard the M1330 webcam (0.3M) is sufficiently good.

It (the m1330) also has HDMI, and can therefore power upto 24 inches of widescreen external monitor at full HD digital resolution on your desk.

You can easily upgrade memory to 4gb on 1330 down the road ;)

You certain? I was under the impression (from the Dell technical comparison) that external monitors only up to 1920x1200 were supported. (ie single-link DVI resolutions and not dual-link)

Not at native resolution it can't. Surely. 30's ship at 2560 by 1600. I thought that the GPU in the m1330 had enough 'umph' to hit 1920 by 1200... or, 24" Widescreen.

By all means provide some pictures for me to swoon over though. :)
