If this does this when your XPS is running via its AC adapter, then is it most likely the screen. As Howdogg said, call Dell and they will run you through a couple of options that may include sending you a whole new replacement (only if it has been less than 21 from the ship date). It also depends on what type of warranty you purchased, if you purchased a extended warranty. If you purchased the at-home warranty then they will send you a new LCD and send someone out to install it. If you don't have a at-home (on-site warranty) then you will have to send your notebook to Dell.

    Call Dell.

    LMAO!!! [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

Dell Tech: "Your graphics card is fine. The computer is not crashing; the game's servers are crashing. This happens all the time but companies will never admit it."
Me: "Servers crash every 5 minutes?"
Dell Tech: "Yes. It happens all the time on these online games."
Me: "So then how comes the server remembers my score, all the same people are still on the server, everyone said I disconnected, and the server somehow managed to restart faster than my XPS2 did?"
    Dell Tech: "..."
Me: "You know I'm a developer, right? Let's cut it with the bull****."

    Yep, specialized gamer support!!!1!

And Akida, the XPS runs pretty well right now. Just make sure it doesn't crash out on games frequently as that means it's got a bad GPU like mine had before I got it replaced.

    Me: "It works now."
Dell Tech: "So it was the hardware....."
Me: "We established that back when I did the second reformat. Really, you should be paying me for wasting time talking on the phone to you people."

Akida, the XPS is really a nice gaming notebook. My cousin has the Alienware 51M (same one in your sig) and the XPS gets comparible performance in gaming. Just make sure to load the XPS up with RAM from newegg.com or other online retailer as Dell charges way too much for RAM and the Pentium M really kicks it in gear with 1GB or 2GB of RAM. As for the problems with the XPS, they are normal as every notebook manufacturer has problems. Sometimes people get bad gpu's and sometimes they don't. I didn't get a bad unit yet have read that a couple of people have, just like Dragon did receive a bad gpu.
