hey all, ive got a dell xps m1210 with a geforce go 7400. my question is to all who overclock their video card, i am just curious what did you clock your core freqency and memory to?

i currently have mine running at:
    Core Clock Frequency: 506 Mhz
    Memory Clock Freqeuncy: 1.0 Ghz

i only use these settings for gaming, and it was clocked with forceware.

im just wondering what you have your videocard overclocked to, to know if i can increase these settings

you can download forceware coolbits 2.0
install it and then you will be able to overclock

right click ur destop>properties>settings>advanced>geforce go 7400>clock frequency settings.

the clock frequency settings will only appear after u install forceware coolbits 2.0

    goodluck!

the safest approach to overclocking with cool bits is to use the test for optimal frequencies option, run that 3 or 4 times, and go with the last setting as your base line, if you want to try and go faster, go with very small jumps, 3mhz at at time at most, I havent messed with overclocking my 7400 yet, but thats the approach I took for my desktop 7900gt and it worked like a charm

You guys should run a benchmark like 3dmark05 with out it overclocked at then with it overclocked and see how the scores compare.

^^I'm too afraid to OC it. Mine peak 86C when playing HL2 for an hour and that's still at stock speed. How do you manage to get 55-65 after overclocking? Mine to share your cooling setup?

That is not good adx, you should really find out more about that.
A bit off topic, what is a good program to monitor GPU temperature?

Believe me, this GPU is hot. Try to monitor yours first at stock speed then decide if you really want to OC with stock cooling. I use I8kfanGUI to monitor my system temp. U can get it here : http://www.diefer.de/i8kfan/index.html

i dont really have a "setup" although when overclocked, i like to keep objects at the edges under the laptop at the rear so that the fan at the bottom is blowing air out, it actually makes a huge difference for me with my temp settings

use a program that lets you take control over the fans, and have them kick on to high BEFORE it heats up

I am overclocked with Rivatuner. 550 on Core Bus and left Memory Bus at 900. I get a 15-20% boost on the 3DMark which is still low since I only have 1 Gig of Ram with Vista. 3DMARK05 Before: 1560 After: 1920. I have order more memory! My temps are CPU 40 and GPU 47. When I run
3DMark05 they both hover around 70-75. I have the fan speed set to go on high at 65.

Never found an overclocking page for m1210's before.

I've managed to get up to 533/1113 using RivaTuner. So far it's stable and giving me a 5 to 10 frame boost while playing nvwn2. Haven't tried anything else to measure it yet. I realize this is an old thread but maybe someone else will join in.
