    Hi

I've had my 630m for about 4 months now and ever since I've had it it has made a high pitched but fairly quiet whine. I've been able to ignore it for the most part but since working more in a much quieter environment it's really starting to become annoying. It isn't the sound of a fan whining, but more electrical, as if something isn't securely connected. It almost always stops if I'm loading a website or opening windows but as soon as the page has loaded it starts again. I thought it could be the hard drive but I've been watching for flashes of HD activity and they don't coincide with the whining noise.

Does anyone know what it may be and if it's possible to fix it without having to send it away?

    Thanks for your time.

I have the same problem with my Inspiron 640m, and the Rightmark Utility did the trick, however I also wanna know if it's NORMAL and whether this can be solved in any other (hardware?) way.
