This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     Take note of this:

    NOTE:
    It may be possible for a customer to insert a second disc into the drive if one is already present. To do so, the customer would have to use more force than for a normal insertion. Should this happen, both discs become lodged in the drive and do not eject. If a customer calls and reports this problem, dispatch a replacement drive with a field service technician, who should remove the discs from the old drive after replacing it. Dell is currently looking for ways to prevent a second disc from being inserted in the drive.
