I bought this laptop from CEX in the UK. They have their own 12 month warranty, but I would prefer to have the Dell one. I have looked online, but it wants the original owners email and name to transfer the warranty, which I do not have?
How would I be able to get the Dell warranty transferred to me?

Anyone with a suggestion?

I would take a look at Register Your Dell Product and Dell - International Ownership Transfer Form
Hope I helped. -
Dell's warranty is completely separate from CEX.
If for example, the user had a one year warranty which has expired and then trades it in to CEX, you will be unable to use the Dell warranty on it (if a fault occurs) and would have to solely rely on CEX sorting it out.
Best bet would be to check on the Warranty status page - Dell System Information / Dell Warranty Extensions & Upgrades / Dell Warranty Status -
The warranty is showing up fine, but the ownership has not gone through so far. They asked me to resubmit with the auction number and express code. So I decided to give them everything, CEX as the name , their email and time and place I bought it along with receipt number.
I don't trust CEX with regards warranty, hence my want to get Dells one instead. -
Quick update, just got an email and my ownership has been transferred!
