This is a somewhat odd problem that I have never heard of, this is a fairly new XPS laptop from Dell which has been used a considerable amount over the past 3 months.
Recently within the past week the display has been flickering as in shaking back and forth.
The best way I can describe it is when a movie reel in a film projector is off and you see two frames, but this is much faster and much more sporradic.
Also FYI this laptop has been used primarily for gaming.
Please help me if anyone has heard of this and has a remedy![]()

not too sure if I can help, but sounds like the LCD's refresh rate could be off... have you checked the refresh rate under Display Properties->Settings->Advanced->Monitor, just to see what the rate is?
the other probability is that your GPU's clocks for core/ram could be screwed up... I know that if they are too low, it can cause the problem you mentioned. Did you install anything recently before the problems started? -
The only time my screen flickers (but doesn't move) is when I view any media. I believe that's due to the omega driver I've chosen.

There has been lots of problems with the omega drivers lately
