I just noticed this, but dell it on under my order details screen, here is what it says

We are experiencing some unforeseen supply constraints which in turn can delay some orders. Should an unanticipated delay occur, we will contact you to let you know. Please visit www.direct2dell.com if you would like to read more about this situation.

Please continue to check the status of your order by returning to the Order Status page. You will receive status updates more quickly by using this tool than trying to reach Dell Customer Service by phone.

We regret any inconvenience this may cause you and thank you for your patience.

At least they know that theres a problem... finally.... But it really don't help us out that much

Oops, I spelled under wrong.... DAMNIT!

Funny, they added that on to my order and now my ship date is back to original July 25th from when I ordered. I guess I need to build a time machine to go back in time to receive it then. But I'll need a computer for that...but Dell still has my computer! Oh, Dell, you cruel mistress, you!

so the magic questions are, 1. will they ever actually put any details there or just the normal bs. and 2. how many of us will be deterred by that and quit calling, my guess 0%. =)

I placed an order for a 1420 at the beginning of the month, and my ship date was into early September. When I called to cancel they kept repeating that my ship date was just an estimate and that it would most likely ship well before that. Now I see this and think: Pshh.

Glad I cancelled and ordered an HP dv2500t instead. Though it would have been nice to go along with my I1720.
