Yay. My Studio 1555 will be replaced by a new equivalent or better system.

    Here is my current configuration:

    1 Studio 15 Notebook
    1 Intel Core 2 Duo P8600 (2.4GHz/1066Mhz FSB/3MB cache)
    1 4GB Shared Dual Channel DDR2 at 800MHz
    1 Back-lit Keyboard
    1 15.6” High Definition+ (900p) Bright LED Display with TrueLife™ and Camera
    1 512MB ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4570
1 Speed: 320GB SATA Hard Drive (7200RPM) with Free Fall Sensor
    1 Midnight Blue
    1 Genuine Windows Vista® Home Premium Edition SP1, 64-Bit
1 8X Slot Load Super Multi (DL DVD+/-R Drive + RAM support)
    1 High Definition Audio 2.0
    1 Dell Wireless 1397 802.11g Half Mini-Card
1 85 WHr Lithium Ion Battery (9 cell)
1 2Yr Ltd Hardware Warranty, InHome Service after Remote Diagnosis

    Order Subtotal: $1,074.00

Because they could not find a refurbished one they agreed to a new one.
Now I'm assuming it will be a Studio 1558 and I think it would be equivalent to this configuration, but could use your help and advice. Especially on the video card I see no options, but I can live with that.

yup, if u dont game its definitely a free upgrade. it shud perform alot faster, the i-5 cores is alot faster than the p series from what i see from my frd's laptops, and the ddr3 ram too! wireless card and screen upgrade cant hurt either.

out of curiosity, how did u get them to replace the system? i wouldnt mind trading in my junk for your new option haha!
