Hi, considering the very high price and absolutely terrible costumer reviews for the 9-cell battery available from Dell for my 6400/e1505 laptop, I was thinking of buying one from ebay. Any idea if the Japanese replacement batteries sold from Hong-Kong are any good? Here's an example
Has anyone tried those? Can they be much worst than the Dell batteries? I see they are 80 WHr instead of 85, is that bad?
I know there are a lot of similar posts out there, but everyone seems to be assuming that the Dell batteries are always better. After reading the reviews here, i doubt it can get any worst.
Thanks,
GL

I just picked up a 9 cell for my 1500 from Dell it was made in Japan vs. the 6 cell that came with my laptop that was made in Korea. I find the 9 cell to have surpassed my expectations.
In the past I have always bought batteries from ebay and had good results.
The thing with buying from Dell is you can get it replaced if you feel the battery you received is not up to par. -
I bought a 9cell battery from Ebay for my E1505/6400 this summer and it works OK. Just make sure you can have a shot of the battery to check the serial and coding. 50% of the Dell Price.

Here in Canada:
I buy it from Dell: 224.48$ including taxes.
I buy it from ebay: 54$ + 13$ shipping = 67$
That's 30 % of the Dell price (70% off).
