Hello all, I ordered a new Inspiron 1525 on 18th June, with an estimated delivery date of 2nd July. A few days ago, I received an email telling me the date has been pushed back to the 17th July :)eek :). I gave them a ring to find out why, and they said there is a shortage of batteries.

Anyone know how long it will take for the batteries to arrive and my order to be shipped? The rep I spoke to said my laptop is completely ready (currently, it says order status is in phase 4, prep for delivery), and only the battery is missing, which is frustrating for me lol.

I doubt your laptop will arrive July 17th. The battery shortage will probably delay it a week at the most. They just pushed is back 15 days because they like to give themselves tons of leeway in case the world is ending and they mess up.
