I ordered a Latitude last week and this morning it had a estimated ship date of 6/14 and tonight it got changed to "shipped" with todays date.

The warehouse works on weekends. it may say shipped but the I doubt the carrier has picked it up since they don't work week ends. it means it is boxed up, a label with tracking number on it, waiting for the carrier to pick it up in the morning.

Nah. What heppened is they have everything ready and is being shipped from overseas to a local hub here in the states. You should get some tracking info in the next few days.

If it's being shipped by fedex, it could be picked up on saturday. For one thing, in my experience, dell has been real good at shipping things super quick.
And no, they are not being shipped from over seas. Maybe they are shipped over sea to be stocked here in Ohio or Texas in their logistic centers but your built to order laptop isn't shipped via air from over sea other wise it would cost much more.
If there's a tracking number, then track it, that's the best way to tell when you'll get it, and you'll notice it's coming probably from Ohio.
But yea since you said today's ship day, it'll probably be ipicked up tomorrow so.. stand by your door

The rest of the story:
1) Ordered D830 on 6/7 at 1 PM
2) Saturday/Sunday Morning estimated ship date 6/14
3) Sunday evening status changed to shipped
4) Monday morning I now have a tracking number from DHL
5) Orgination from TN.
So getting to me in less then a week after ordering. I "almost" got a Lenovo but knew the wait would have drove me crazy. -
Ahh good to hear, just like I assumed and from my own experience, DELL has their good stuff, which is getting products out the door faster then one would expect and getting them shipped and giving you a tracking number to go on.
