I requested return my dell laptop and receive an email with UPS label, but it is also noted it will charge $10 for pickup.

The label has 10 days period, does that mean I can use the laptop for 10 more days?

UPS charges for pick up, Fedex doesn't. With UPS you can drop it off or hand it to a UPS driver for free.

I would assume that to be the case. But why would you want to? The faster it is returned the faster your refund is processed.

I wasn't charged for UPS picking up my return.

So I decided to drop off myself. The UPS store charged me $1 tapping fee.

They charged you $1 to tape the box?
If so, maybe that's an extra charge they have for "their stock usage"?

At least it's on its way back to Dell now. :)
