Yet I received no email or phone call about my recent order being delayed. It still says 'Estimated delivery date 1/14/11' and I don't see how it's possible it can get here in time right? So I called and was told it was set for the 14th and not to worry, but then I asked again about it not shipping and the CSR put me on hold and when he came back after rechecking the records he says, "So you got a call from Dell and an email stating your ordered was delayed for the 19th, it will arrive on the 19th, not to worry.
GUess what though? NO EMAIL OR call from Dell was ever attempted....I told him that and pretty much was done with the call after that. Wasn't rude or anything. But I am real disappointed, I got a 20 inch monitor and wanted it this week!I haven't had this happen before with them so I was kind of shocked when the rep came back and said that it was delayed and I wasn't letting him tell me people had attempted to call or email me because NO ONE had....Anyway how often do you run into this crap with them?

My friend had an esd more than a month away when he ordered an XPS 15.
I wasn't surprised because it was on sale for about 3 weeks here in Canada,
he bought it on boxing day, and it was CTO. But but but ...
- he never got a confirmation email
- they cancelled the order
- his credit card was charged
After about a week he got it sorted out, and hopefully he'll have his machine by February, but it was kind of a terrible buying experience for him. *shrugs* -
Wow that sounds awful! Glad he got it sorted out though. I finally got the delayed email today. NO phone call though. Not that I need one. I just hope to get my monitor soon.

And they did call last night, I was amazed. LOL!
Edited: Wow it got here today! It's killer too! Love that they delivered it on Saturday! WOO HOO!
