I customized the E1505 in the Dell Home section and added it to my cart. The total came out to $2237. I tried to apply the $750 off coupon, but it didn't work. I have tried applying coupons many times in the past, but they NEVER work for me. I had even bought an E1705 from the Home section, but was not able to use any coupons. Is there some sort of trick to doing this? Please help!

I thought you were going with Asus?
Anyways, dell's website has been acting weird lately. A user reported that the coupon works as long as you don't add the reinstallation disc. Some stated that it worked on certain Inspiron systems and not others.
What system are you trying to configure? -
Also, did you get an error message? Was it expired? Is the system applicable for the that particular discount?

I was customizing it just for fun. I wanted to see how cheap I would be able to get it for. I most likely am going with the Asus. Anyways, I was trying to configure the Inspiron E1505. I didn't get an error message. It doesn't say anything. I just doesn't work. Its not expired. It expires 7/6.

The coupons don't support the top E1705 and the top E1505 models. Look at the codes that are applicable for the 750.00 off coupon, and then the codes on those models. I know the E1705 ends in something like E1705RFC1, where the coupon only applies to E1705s1, E1705s2, and the E1705s3. They're kinda picky.
Drop to the next system in the price line, and you'll be able to configure it to the same setting as the other one with a relatively similar price.
On a side note, is it intentional that the $400 (or now 20% - 35% off) doesn't stack with the coupons? I just wanted to double check, and verify that it isn't just the website acting weird. -
another thing is that on the high end models, Dell is taking 35% off already. These coupons are not stackable, so it is taking the higher of the two coupons.
I'm not sure what you are asking velvety. Normally any discounts taken off of the laptops will be reapplied if you use the coupon, so you either get the discount on dell or the coupon you applied. In a rare chance, dell might issue a stackable coupon but they aren't high dollar ones. Did that help? -
You answered my question. Thanks!
I ordered my E1705 last night with a 750.00 off coupon. The system started off with the whole "Save 250.00 instantly!" which disappeared after I applied my 750.00 off coupon. I thought that that SHOULD happen, but I just wanted to double-check. Thank you for the clarification.
Dell coupons NEVER work for me!
