I just purchased a dell d830 with the upgraded Intel 3945. I actually purchased and shipped it to my daughter. In the network connection she mentioned it shows the 1394 as connected and the 3945 not connected. Do I need to disable the 1394 and then try connecting with the 3945? The place she is at has a wireless router but she needs to talk to the owner to get the connection information.
Of course to use it she needs to register the software and to do that she needs to get on the internet. She should also be able to go to a Caribou or Dunn Brothers or sometype of coffee shop and get on the internet correct?
thanks for any info you can send my way. It is difficult to trouble shoot over the phone, especailly when your not that versed at it.
