I have a question, I live in Canada and just ordered a Inspiron 1420 for $999. I think there was something like $409 worth of discounts (according to Dell).
What I got was the 1420 with..
Intel C2D 1.8 GHz T7100
2GB DDR2 RAM
Intel Graphics
120GB 5400 RPM
8X DVD/CD Burner
Vista
Web Cam etc.
So, $999 CAD.
But, while this isn't bad I see other people (here in the Dell section) with incredible systems, with faster processors, better graphic cards etc. for either cheaper, or a relatively similar amounts. Can you tell me if this is just because Dell is more expensive outside the US, or am I not finding the coupons/rebates? Can you apply a coupon ontop of the $409 Dell claimed to discount? Are there other things I should be looking at? Just a bit of help would be appreciated. Thank you.
Oh, and lastly.. in peoples signatures I often see the final price followed by something like ''+ $100 coupon''. What is this? Is this given to you along with the system?

1.) Dell is more expensive outside the US.
2.) The Dell coupons in the States are much better and released more frequently than elsewhere in the world. -
