This is going to sound a bit strange, but I'm worried about my new Dell's LCD.
From all of the pictures I've seen, the top of the lid (with the round Dell logo) is supposed to be flat and flush. Mine isn't. It's got this raised "bubble" in the middle. I've pressed down (gently) on it, and it is hollow inside, so I can't find a reason why it would be designed that way. Is that normal or did I simply get a weird one?
I tried to take a picture of it but it doesn't really show... so I outlined where the bubble is on my system. Is yours similar?
I also included a picture of my light leakage. I would think that a warped LCD enclosure might've caused some of it, but who knows...
Should I request a replacement or just keep it?

If that all is light leakage, I would call Dell and request that it be fixed. As for the Dell emblem, it looks like that is alot messed up. On my I9300 it is flat...but I doubt that cause the leakage.
Hope this helps! -
yeah the i6000 and e1505 have plastic covers and hence the bubble. Mine has the same thing. The i9300 and e1705 have metal tops that are flat. Bottom line, the case is a bit cheaper on the 15.4" models becauset they don't need to be as rigid to prevent screen flex and so forth as with the 17 inchers. Yes this bothers me a bit, and i think dell should do something about it (metal tops on the 15.4") but thats normal, and i don't think that should cause light leakage problems.
