Hey guys. I purchased a Dell e1705 almost a year ago. So far it has been a great machine. Right now though the screen seems to be a lil *flimsy* when at a 90 degree angle. It seems to rock back n forth a little bit. It still stands up, but flops. Is there a way to tighten it down? Ive never really messed with a lappy before so i dont want to mess it. Was hoping i could have some thoughts. Thanks!

How much "play" are you talking about?

A lot of laptops, once broken in, have what I refer to as "play" in the hinges. It depends on how much as to whether its considered something that cant be lived with. Some people take their laptop apart just to fix a quarter inch "play" back and forth in the display. To some its worth it to me its not. If the screen does stay up then its nothing more than an annoyance.

It's possible to tighten up those hinges but on some laptops its pretty hard to get to. Another option is to get your local computersmith to take a look at it.

I know it wasn't very helpful but that's my two cents worth. Have a great weekend! :)
