uh... why would we need these? this isn't the dell forum, and the x32 BIOS already solves overheating issues ...

So far dell are the only ones that have admitted that they are affected and taken steps to make sure that people don't have their machines fry out on them. And even though the x32 bios helps it can't be good to have a gpu that idles at 71C. I'd like to see greater steps taken to make sure my machine keeps on whirring. -
yeah but aren't the defective models all from the 8400 and 8600 series?

That's was just a rumor last time I saw that headline? But if you can dig up something official from nvidia that would be great.
