    Hey

I am ordering a laptop from Dell and after everything in my cart I see this:

And I cannot even remove it as there is no option to. I have removed my whole order and then reordered the laptop and still the extra battery ads automatically.

I do not need that item and it is costing me $40 more.

Can someone tell me why this is?

just recently dell knowingly sold 1.2 million destop pcs with "bad" capacitors that failed and refused to fix them because the caps failed after the warranty. a press release was made of a memo from higher ups to other higher ups that the sale would continue and no one was supposed to divulge this bad cap information to anyone...im sure this type of thing occurs often with corporate giants

This is what the chat customer service told me, said that battery is free and cannot be removed from the order

"However, as we can not ship any product with Zero value, we show the online price of $40 as it's value in the invoice and deduct the same from the original system value."

    Is that true?

Can you post the entire invoice?

They did that with me when I ordered a bed (not from Dell).
