I have just finished ordering a Dell i6000D Notebook and was wondering about both the good and bad opinions that people have on this laptop. Hope that I will find some usefull info and tips here. Thanx in advance for your help!

I've had one for about 3 weeks. Its pretty damn good. I'd give it a 9.5/10. I have essentially same as you but w/the better screen. Weight isn't too bad, battery runs a while, screen is bright, i would ignore the people who say its not bright enough. only thing i recommend is downloading all the dell drivers from the website, burn them to a cd, then format the hard drive and do a fresh install. I'm definitely a satisfied customer.

All for 1720$ with coupon in coupon section (35% off) + a big bucks coupon from a current catalog (only 30$ more anyway). I highly recommend getting the 7200 rpm drive. the configuration you got should cost 1365$ w/o 30$ off coupon. What is that in canadian? The 6000 is a great laptop, have alot of fun with it [ ;)]
