    I placed this thread in another topic (general accessories), but thought it would be more relevant in here. Sorry for the duplication.

    1. My BATTERY
    2. The CD-ROM modular drive

    Weight savers are hollow plastic objects similar in shape and size to BATTERY or ROM, that it is meant to replace.

    I have posted on the Dell Support Forum, but I have not gotten a proper answer about the Part# or Specifically what I need to tell the customer service at Dell when placing an order.

    Secondly, is there independent vendor who sells these items.

    yes, you'll need to call their spare parts department unless you can google it and find it somewhere else cheaper.

    You might want to check on Ebay for spares that people might be selling. You can get stuff on there alot cheaper than getting it from Dells parts.
